Sacred Heart Parish is a small rural Catholic Parish on the southern border of Middle Tennessee, 90 miles south of Nashville. We have 83 children enrolled in our school.
The parish was founded in 1872 by the Precious Blood Fathers who brought homesteaders to this area. Of the five Catholic communities established by the settlers, only three remain. Sacred Heart Parish of Loretto, Sacred Heart Parish of Lawrenceburg, and St. Joseph Parish in St. Joseph, TN. Sacred Heart Parish in Loretto and Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrenceburg have Catholic schools. The children of St. Joseph Parish attend Sacred Heart School in Loretto.
